The costume queen again changed her costume to celebrate her annual Halloween, this time as Medusa.
With New York City approaching the hour of midnight on Friday, Heidi Klum unveiled another gorgeous costume, this time coming to her own annual Halloween party, as Medusa.
Klum changed, together with her husband Tom Kaulitz (who also played a fancy look as a knight turned to stone, fighting her), with a headpiece of moving snakes, fangs and a forked tongue, along with a body of a snake in a complete body suit, and an elongated tail. And she had a bow and arrow that she was toying with, Kaulitz between giving him the tongue and the photographers.
Klum is throwing her 24th Halloween party at The Venue at Hard Rock Hotel New York on Music Row, sponsored by Butterfinger and Hulaween on Disney+. The party has also become a staple of the Spooky Season as Klum has consistently shown up in a jaw-dropping outfit. In recent years, she has been turned into E.T., a peacock, and Fiona.
In one of her Instagram videos of the behind-the-scenes of her E.T. costume in the past year, Klum told how her party originated when she recalled that some 25 years ago, she was seeking the party in New York City. She said: “It all started about 25 years ago when I was searching for the party in New York City and I thought, ‘I’m going to have to take that one over.” She added that over the years, as the pressure to beat her past costumes has grown, “I have sleepless nights over Halloween, you have no idea. I always hope that it works out.
The most recent complex costume worn by Klum was one that had a long tail and snakes that moved, instead of her hair. She hissed at the assembled red carpet photographers and used a bow and an arrow as she flaunted on the cameras.
Klum began posting photos and videos of the elaborate makeup process as early as Friday, and she has even mentioned the makeup designer Mike Marino in a bid to credit his work. Marino has been nominated thrice in the Oscar Awards due to his performance in Batman, Coming 2 America and A Different Man. He was also awarded an Emmy because of the way he transformed Colin Farrell into The Penguin.
The 25th anniversary of her Halloween celebration in New York City is going on after Klum hosted her first star-studded spooktacular in 2000. In 2020 and 2021, she did not host any parties because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
